International Brewing and Cider Pageant& (IBC) hosted their first occasion in the city over the weekend.

However bosses have since been pressured to apologise for the automotive crash experience at Mayfield Depot.

Matt Turner-Allen, who paid £38.50 to attend, was only one in every of a handful of ticket-holders on the "vibe-less" occasion.

Describing it as the "worst event ever by a rustic mile", Matt contacted IBC on X/Twitter earlier than likening the occasion to Scotland's 'Willy Wonka' fail.

"I texted my boss in Glasgow, and I stated this is the Willy Wonka festival of Manchester.

The Willy Wonka pageant up north hit headlines final month for its disastrous turn-out.

Families paid £35 for what was alleged to be an "immersive experience" which turned out to be a near-empty warehouse within the metropolis centre.

Mother and father and youngsters have been greeted with "tragic" actors, "disappointing" props and shambolic backdrops.

Matthew Curtis, a beer writer, told the BBC he estimated crowds at the Manchester occasion have been no greater than 50 to 100 individuals at any time.

And Freddy Hardy, the co-founder of an unbiased brewery selling at the occasion, stated he solely had around 20 clients on the Friday.

A spokesperson for the IBC pageant stated that they had 800 individuals arrive throughout four periods on Friday and Saturday.
