GARETH SOUTHGATE has revealed why Cole Palmer didn't play a single minute of England's current friendlies.

Fans thought the in-form Blues man can be a shoo-in to function in one of the matches, which Southgate didn't play him in on account of his lack of coaching.
When requested if this was a missed camp for Marcus Rashford, Southgate stated: "Properly, I needed to see Anthony Gordon.
