THE driver of a "runaway" Jaguar EV driver who claimed his brakes "failed" on a busy motorway has been arrested.

The driving force stated on the time he was "fortunate to be alive" following the horrifying 35-minute "movie-style" ordeal.
Merseyside Police in the present day revealed that they had arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of harmful driving and causing a public nuisance.

"I attempted doing the cruise management on the steering wheel, it just wasn't occurring."
The driving force claimed he was pressured to tear by way of pink lights and over a slipway roundabout earlier than careering on to the onerous shoulder.
He managed to dial 999 and police advised him to stay on the arduous shoulder as they scrambled eight squad automobiles.
The officers intercepted his automotive – but he smashed into them as he was reportedly unable to stop.

A Jaguar Land Rover spokesperson stated final week: "Following the incident involving a Jaguar I-PACE on the M62 on the afternoon of sixth March, we are wanting into this matter with urgency.
"A full evaluate is underway to determine the cause of this incident, which continues to be but to be established.
"The security of our shoppers and automobiles is JLR's highest precedence."
