Officers raced to the Legacy Funeral Directors on each Anlaby Street and Hessle Street in Hull at around 3am on Thursday, with locals reporting a heavy police presence at the scene.

Assistant Chief Constable Thom McLoughlin stated cops are shifting bodies from the Hessle Street department to the native authority's mortuary.

Cordons have since been set up at three sites and a particular telephone line has been launched for "heartbroken and devastated" families who might have considerations.

Inquiries at the moment are ongoing into whether or not any legal offences have been committed.
