Barack Obama to appear on Larry David's new sketch show

Larry Davidcontinues to be pretty, pretty, pretty good at casting guest stars.

Last year, the comedy legend revealedhisCurb Your Enthusiasmfollow-upproject would be an HBO sketch comedy produced byBarackandMichelle Obama. But now comes word that the former president will appear in an episode of the series opposite David.

Premiering June 26,Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappinesswill consist of seven episodes, with each installment consisting of roughly four sketches. Here's the official logline: "President and Mrs. Obama wanted to honor America's 250th anniversary and celebrate the unique history of our nation on this special occasion... But then Larry David called."

At the time of the series announcement, Barack Obama teased his collaboration with the famously grumpy and opinionated David. "I've sat across the table from some of the world's most difficult leaders and wrestled with some of our most intractable problems," the president-turned-producer said in a statement. "Nothing has prepared me for working with Larry David."

Obama will be in impressive company onPursuit of Unhappiness. Among the notable rotating cast will beBill HaderandKathryn Hahnas Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln,Jon HammandSean Hayesas the Wright brothers, andJerry Seinfeldas the Clark to David's Lewis.Curb Your Enthusiasmalums Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, J.B. Smoove, andVince Vaughnwill also appear.

And in a newly released clip,Joe Manganiellois a sailor who takes offense to a David character kissing his girl.

Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappinesslaunches June 26 on HBO.
