WASHINGTON ‒President Donald Trumpsaid he hopes the father of Renee Nicole Good, the woman who was shot andkilled by an immigration officer in Minneapolis, is still a "Trump fan" after his daughter's death.
Trump made the comment to reporters during Jan. 20 remarks in the White House press briefing room as he touted his accomplishments to mark the one-year anniversary of his first year back in office.
"When I learned that her parents, and her father in particular, is like ‒ I hope he still is, but I don't know ‒ was a tremendous Trump fan," Trump said of Good. "He was all for Trump. Loved Trump. It's terrible. I was told that by a lot of people. They say, 'Oh, he loves you.' He was a ‒ I hope he still feels that way."

Trump added: "It's a hard, hard situation. But her father was a tremendous ‒ and parents, were tremendous Trump fans. It's so sad. It just happens. It's terrible."
Trump spoke for one hour and 45 minutes, moving from one topic to another, including the death of Good, who was fatally shot on Jan 7. by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement agent Jonathan Ross.

The shooting occurred when Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, drove her SUV forward near Ross after being told to exit her vehicle, where she was blocking ICE action in Minneapolis.
"They're going to make mistakes. Sometimes, ICE is going to be too rough with somebody. You know, you deal with rough people," Trump said, adding he "felt terribly" about Good's death.

CBS Evening News anchor Tony Dokoupilinformed Trump in a Jan. 13 interviewthat Good's father, Timothy Ganger, is a Trump supporter. Dokoupil hadinterviewed Ganger days earlier.
In his lengthy remarks, Trump called protesters in Minnesota who oppose increased ICE presence in their state "paid agitators and insurrectionists," singling out ananti-ICE protest that interrupted a St. Paul, Minnesota church service over the weekend.
The president began his remarks by holding up photos of individuals he said were criminal migrants who were in the country illegally and apprehended by his administration.
