Dermot Mulroney will reportedly be absent from the final few episodes of Chicago Fire season 14 as he takes a hiatus
Mulroney, 62, joined the series in 2024 as Battalion Chief Dom Pascal

Dermot Mulroneyis taking some time off fromChicago Fire.
Mulroney, whoplays Battalion Chief Dom Pascal on the NBC series, will appear in the next four episodes of season 14, before taking a hiatus for the remaining episodes, according toDeadline.
During his absence, a newcomer will be introduced to Firehouse 51, as Rob Morgan joins as Battalion Chief Hopkins.
Per Deadline, Hopkins "has a long, haunted past in overseeing several Chicago firehouses and is quick to assert authority over his colleagues." He'll join in episode 16 and star in the four episodes through the season finale.
It's unclear if Mulroney, 62, will return for season 15.

MulroneyjoinedChicago Firein 2024, stepping in to fill the gap in the fire station afterEamonn Walker scaled back his role as Chief Wallace Bodenafter 12 seasons.
Walker had led Firehouse 51 for the show's first 12 seasons prior to his exit, and he has since made an appearance in a season 13 episode last year.
Mulroney has described his role onChicago Fireas comparable to a "Christmas gift all year round," as he said during a December panel hosted by PEOPLE, "I literally joined a family there in Firehouse 51."

"It's an incredible group of people, and we know deep into their past, these characters. So me even joining this cast, to see actors that have played that same part for 12 years, to see how they drop into their character, it was something I'd never witnessed," he said.

"It's a very different feel there," he continued. "It's so seamless and just a brilliant group of actors who've lived in the skin of their characters longer than I've ever encountered in my work."

Mulroney also plays a key role onHunting Wivesandseason 2of the hit Netflix series has begun production.
His costar,Brittany Snow, has teased that the new installment of the drama is "wild" and will "somehow" top the insanity of season 1.
"I think people are going to be very shocked, I think people are going to be angry — I don't know if that's a good or bad thing to say, but definitely people should watch," she toldEntertainment Tonight.
Plus, she teased that there's a shocking death in season 2: "I won't tell you who. That is a wild play. Wild behavior."
