On the heels of a much-anticipated tour announcement,the K-pop supergrouprevealed its newest project, set to drop March 20, will be called "Arirang." Their first studio album in six years, BTS will travel the globe to promote it, hitting 34 regions, including 10 cities in the United States.
"Arirang" is a traditional Korean folk song, according to a release, and is "associated with emotions of connection, distance, and reunion." That the name of the new album connotes reunion feels appropriate as the group is back togetherfollowing mandatory military serviceforseveral of its members.

"The album is a deeply reflective body of work that explores BTS' identity and roots," the release states. "While the album spans a wide range of emotions, including love and longing, it is anticipated to be deeply personal yet universally relatable."
"Arirang" will be the newest studio album since the release of "Be" in 2020. The band's most recent project was an anthology album called "Proof," released in 2022.
Known for their synchronized dance moves, their heavy-synth pop, and their loyal fans, BTS has no shortage of hype. Their reunion is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events in music for 2026 – with both their album and its accompanying tour expected to break records.
