Chiefs make call over DE's future amid fears his NFL career is OVER at just 26
The Kansas City Chiefs have waived defensive star BJ Thompson with an injury designation after he went into cardiac arrest during a team meeting last June. Thompson was stabilized at a local hospital and spent all of the 2024 season on injured reserve. As every NFL roster spot is critical, and Thompson is not at full strength, the move was necessary from the Chiefs ahead of their upcoming rookie minicamp.
