St Johnstone turn to Simo Valakari in manager hunt after breakdown in talks with Lynch
Simo Valakari has emerged as the latest front-runner for the vacant managerial post at St Johnstone. The Finnish coach has become Saints' new target after talks with Northern Irishman Tiernan Lynch collapsed over the weekend. Lynch had looked set to take over at McDiarmid Park when Saints agreed a compensation package with his current club, Larne. But negotiations broke down over personal terms and Adam Webb, owner of the Perth club, has turned his attention to Valakari.
