Sandro Tonali will be available to play for Newcastle United again from August 27 when his 10-month ban for betting offences expires. The Italian midfielder was initially hit with an 18-month worldwide suspension by the Italian Football Federation last October. But his punishment was then reduced as a result of his cooperation with investigators in his home country. Tonali will miss Newcastle's first two Premier League games of the new season but he is already permitted to train with his team-mates.
