Britney Spears' relationship with her sons may be on the mend. In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says that while Spears and her sons Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17, spoke on the phone around Mother's Day, the singer, 42, has not yet met with her sons in person since they moved with their dad to Hawaii. "Obviously a reconciliation/reunification is somewhat complex and can be a process that takes some time," Kaplan tells PEOPLE.
