The Royal Navy stated: "A minor, isolated hearth on HMS Queen Elizabeth was shortly introduced beneath management and extinguished."
Scottish Hearth and Rescue is now working with the Navy to probe the reason for the hearth.
HMS Queen Elizabeth is en-route to Rosyth in Scotland for repairs on its starboard propeller shaft.
The plane service arrived at Glenmallan yesterday to off-load ammunition earlier than heading to Rosyth for the repairs.
