Hoda Kotb's daughter didn't perceive why Travis Kelce lost his cool with Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid throughout Super Bowl LVIII.
"One of the issues they didn't like happened on the sidelines and my daughter requested when Travis Kelce pushed his coach," Kotb, 59, stated through the Monday, February 12 episode of Immediately With Hoda and Jenna. "My daughter stated, 'Why did he do this?' Like why did he push that older man?'"
While Kotb's oldest daughter Haley, 6, requested the question, the speak show host explained to each her daughters that Kelce, 34 was "annoyed he wasn't in the recreation" after the Chiefs fumbled the ball. (Kotb can also be the mother of 3-year-old daughter Hope.)
"But all somewhat kid saw was [a] robust man pushing an older man," Kotb noted to which cohost Jenna Bush Hager agreed.

Bush Hager, 42, shared that she had an identical response as Haley when she saw the tense interaction between Reid, 65, and Kelce.
"I used to be the Haley of that state of affairs, I stored asking [husband] Henry, 'What's occurring right here?'" she explained. "You need to be a staff and part of being a staff is you respect the coach. It's sportsmanship. And I was making an attempt to show my youngsters that."
The cohosts shared that their daughters turned considering watching Kelce and his group play this season due to the tight end's romance with Taylor Swift. They famous that neither of their youngsters had seen that sort of emotion throughout a recreation before.
"Yeah, and it's weird as a result of I don't assume so many young women have been into soccer until this recreation," Kotb stated. "I don't know that my daughters would've been watching it."

Kelce had a couple of phrases with Reid after he was briefly benched following Isiah Pacheco's fumble. Kelce grabbed Reid by the arm and yelled at him which led the extreme second to go viral. Despite the kerfuffle, the Chiefs introduced residence their second championship in a row, beating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.
Throughout post-game press, each Kelce and Reid have been requested about the moment. Kelce hinted he needed to maintain the duo's dialog to himself.
"Oh, you guys saw that?" he joked throughout a postgame interview. "I'm gonna hold it between us until my mic'd up [content] tells the world, however I was simply telling him how a lot I really like him."

Reid, for his part, also gave a light-hearted answer concerning the interplay. "He keeps me younger," the coach stated of Kelce. "He caught me off stability. Normally I'd give him just a little bit [back], but I didn't have [my] ft underneath me."
He later confirmed that Kelce did need to go back into the game and promised Reid he would score if given the prospect.
"The part I really like is he likes to play the sport and he needs to help his staff win," Reid stated to ESPN. "As a lot as he bumps into me, I get after him and we perceive that. He simply caught me off stability."
