Kaley Cuoco and fiancé Tom Pelphrey were intentional about their baby girl’s name, Philomena Carmine Bobby Pelphrey.
According to an exclusive source, the new parents, who announced the arrival of their little one on Wednesday, Oct. 14, specifically picked their daughter’s middle names to honor different family members.
“They always choose the middle name to honor family members,” the insider explains, noting that both of Philomena’s middle names are a special nod to the family. “Carmine is a nod to her father, [and Bobby is] a nod to Tom’s side of the family.”
“They love classic, vintage names, so Philo was the perfect choice for them,” the source adds.
The source goes on to share an update on how the newly minted family of four is doing since their bundle of joy joined the family.
“Matilda is so excited to be a big sister,” they say. “Everyone is happy and healthy, and they are all loving up on the new addition to their family.”
The Based on a True Story star and her fiancé shared the happy news of their daughter’s birth on Instagram alongside intimate photos from the hospital.
“🎀Philomena Carmine Bobby Pelphrey🎀. 💖10/12/26💖,” Cuoco wrote in her caption. “There are no words to describe this feeling once again. What a blessing.”
“We are so grateful for the crazy wild up and down journey that brought us to our little Philo!” continued the proud mom. “Family officially complete 😭Time to bring Matilda’s baby home! 😂💕 @tommypelphrey life exploded the minute we met, and the gifts keep coming. I love you forever , girl daddy! 💘.”

Cuoco also shared photos of her newborn daughter Philomena on her Instagram Stories, writing “She’s here!” over the sweet snap. The newly minted mom of two also added videos of her baby daughter, who was snuggled into a blanket.
The actress’ older daughter Matilda, 3, smiled in another photo on her Stories, wearing a T-shirt that read “Big Sister.” Cuoco added, “Someone waiting at home for us!”
